Welcome to the Mako Design Co! My name is Collin, I'm a Visual & Brand Designer born and raised outside of Cleveland, Ohio. As a lifelong Cleveland sports fan, I understand the power of consistency and a principled approach because I’ve seen firsthand the disastrous effects of having neither, and how difficult of a process it can be to rebuild. This is my philosophy as I move through life, tackle new challenges, and it's my promise to clients that their brand will be set up for long-term success.
Founded in January 2020, Mako Design Co. is my personal branding & illustration studio, based right here in Northeast Ohio. MDC continues to be fueled by the various passions throughout my life that pushed me to create to this day.
In addition to the client-based work you see here, I also put together a large amount of passion projects under the MDC umbrella in my spare time. You can find a few examples in the work section here on the site. These types of projects are immensely important. They allow me to sharpen my existing skills and to pick up new ones between clients, while engaging with interesting subject matter that may not come around very often in the form of paid work.
